When you partner with Mitey, the first step is the Wellbeing Review Tool. Designed by the team from the University of Auckland, this questionnaire assesses your current approach to mental health education. Together, we turn those insights into a plan of action.

One size does not fit all

Mitey knows a successful approach to mental health education has to be school wide. It also has to be responsive so it can adapt to the strengths and needs of a school and its community. Mitey's Wellbeing Review Tool helps you identify how to implement a school wide approach to mental health education that is most effective for your school's context and children.

What does it do?

Mitey's Wellbeing Review Tool allows a school's senior management team and a Mitey coach to assess a school's holistic approach to wellbeing. Together, building on needs and strengths, a plan of action is developed, using the components of Mitey, to implement mental health education and wellbeing school wide.

How is it structured?

Mitey's Wellbeing Review Tool is a series of questions based on topic areas which, research has shown, help create a healthy school environment for learning.

The five topic areas are; Learners, School Partnerships, Board of Trustees, Leadership and Curriculum.

The Wellbeing Review Tool aligns with the direction for learning in the NZ Curriculum, the ERO School Evaluation Indicators (2016) and the research that underpins the Wellbeing for Success Framework.
